About This Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team at Chinese Hospital. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our patient care and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform sanitizing and disinfecting work throughout the hospital, including patient care areas, exam rooms, waiting rooms, restrooms, offices, meeting rooms, etc.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks such as trash/recycling/biohazard removal, dusting, wet wiping, glass cleaning, vacuuming, polishing, and mopping.
  • Detail cleaning in assigned areas, including cleaning ceiling vents, high/low dusting, walls, wiping furniture, edge vacuuming, and baseboard cleaning.
  • Perform basic equipment care, checks for wear and damage on assigned equipment.
  • Perform cleaning and disinfecting of patients' rooms, make beds ready, collect dirty laundry from patients' rooms, distribute clean linen and hospital/surgical gowns to appropriate floors, replenish supplies such as toilet papers, hand towels, and seat covers.
  • Stay current and knowledgeable on proper disinfection practices and infection control requirements by following hospital policies for infection transmission reduction.
  • Observe and inspect assigned areas for maintenance and security needs and report issues as soon as possible.
  • Keep paper and chemical supplies stored in work rooms neat and organized. Keep housekeeping cart clean and stocked.
  • Follow the rules and intent of the department's regulations and safety guidelines.
  • Additional assignments may include meeting room set-ups for events, setting up tables, chairs, and various items.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Custodial Training Certificate/License is required.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, and understand instructions in English and respond as necessary.
  • Knowledge of procedures, products, equipment, and chemical cleaning products.
  • Visible acuity to observe work was properly performed.
  • Motor coordination and manual dexterity to maintain flow of work.
Work Environment:

As a Housekeeping Aide at Chinese Hospital, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated professionals. You will be required to stand, walk, and move 50% of the day. You must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and use proper body mechanics when handling equipment.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a starting hourly rate of $35.91. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
