Position Overview:
This role is designated for the Air Combat Command's Lodging Facility.

The responsibilities entail moderate physical activity, including the use of vacuum cleaners and dry mops; operating powered scrubbers and buffers; maintaining a standing position, bending, stooping, and reaching; regularly lifting and disposing of waste materials; frequently maneuvering carts loaded with laundry or refuse, and occasionally lifting items weighing up to 20 pounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness of guest accommodations, hallways, staircases, and other designated areas.
  • Perform sweeping, dry mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing of floors.
  • Utilize brooms, mops, lightweight vacuum cleaners, and floor scrubbers and buffers.
  • Dust, wax, and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Sanitize guest room appliances, cooking utensils, and dishware.
  • Empty waste receptacles and ensure proper disposal.
  • Polish door handles and other metal fixtures.
  • Wash walls, windows, and blinds that are accessible without assistance or with the use of stepping stools.
  • Change bed linens and prepare beds for new guests.
  • Collect soiled linens and transport them to designated pickup areas.
  • Receive clean linens and distribute them as instructed.
  • Update room status, occupancy, and checkouts using the communication system.
  • Clean, disinfect, and deodorize restrooms and toilet facilities.
  • Report any maintenance issues such as broken windows, leaks, or clogged drains to the supervisor.
  • Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment necessary for the job.
  • Notify the supervisor when supplies are low or when equipment requires repair or replacement.

Employees may encounter dirt, unpleasant odors, and the potential for minor injuries (such as cuts and bruises) during the course of their duties.
