About the Role:

The Baseball Ambassador is a key member of our retail team at Dick's Sporting Goods, responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience to baseball players of all ages and skill levels. This role requires a strong passion for baseball, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with customers to understand their baseball needs and preferences, and provide personalized product recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest baseball products, technologies, and trends to ensure customers receive the best possible advice.
  • Work closely with store teammates to ensure a seamless customer experience, and provide training and support as needed.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of baseball equipment, including bats, gloves, and other gear, and be able to recommend products based on customer needs.
  • Participate in in-store events and promotions to drive sales and engage with customers.
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies and initiatives to drive business growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of retail or team sports experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of baseball and its various aspects, including equipment, rules, and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
