Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment. You will work under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures to ensure the best possible images for interpretation while applying ALARA principles of radiation protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify patient identification and physician order.
  • Provide procedural information/education to the patient/family prior to each exam.
  • Acquire an accurate patient history and document in the medical record.
  • Perform CT and related patient care procedures using age-appropriate methods for patient's physical ability and/or limitations.
  • Place IV's as required for injection of contrast media.
  • Operate CT imaging equipment and perform necessary quality control and quality assurance testing.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Ensure STAT requests are relayed to radiologist in a timely manner.
  • Ensure equipment is wiped down between patients and exam room is clean and properly stocked with linen and supplies.
  • Use hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules, and sending information to PAC's.
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff, management, technical, and support staff.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree from a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program.
  • 1 year of relevant experience, with 1-3 years' experience beyond staff radiographer level preferred.
  • CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
  • CRT-Computerized Tomography (CT) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross.
