Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Methodist Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to our patients and their families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary health care for patients by utilizing assessment and diagnosis of health status.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other disciplines to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Perform physical exams, determine patient mental status, and use assessment techniques to derive diagnoses.
  • Order ancillary tests, administer medications, and prescribe medications as needed.
  • Evaluate patient care to determine response to interventions and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.
  • Minimum of one to three years of relevant NICU clinical experience.
  • Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) License and Nurse Practitioner (APRN.NP.NE or ARNP.IA) licensure.
  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) certification and certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
