We are seeking a skilled Retail Sales Associate to join our team at The Perfect Pair. As a key member of our sales floor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to our daily sales goals.

About the Role

This is a part-time opportunity that requires enthusiasm, friendliness, and a genuine desire to provide outstanding service. You will be working closely with customers, coworkers, and management to create a seamless shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include greeting customers, assisting with purchases, responding to questions, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers in a friendly and polite manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere in our store.
  • Assist customers with their shopping needs, directing them to merchandise and providing expert advice on products.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, addressing any concerns or issues they may have.
  • Maintain superior knowledge of our products, staying up-to-date on new arrivals and promotions.
  • Contribute to our daily sales goals by consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Monitor inventory levels, restocking shelves as needed to maintain a well-stocked sales floor.
  • Stamp, mark, and tag prices on merchandise accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain the orderliness of the sales floor, ensuring a clean and organized environment for customers.
  • Operate cash registers, handle payments, and issue receipts in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic personality with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Background in shoes preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and effectively communicating with customers, coworkers, and management.
  • Availability to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team without direct supervision.
  • Basic math proficiency.
  • Physical ability to move, stand, reach, and grab for two consecutive hours or more, including stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated selling skills.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
