Position Title:

PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT SUPERVISOR

Compensation:
$24.00 to $26.00 per hour

Job Summary:

The Procurement Assistant Supervisor will oversee the activities of team members during designated shifts, ensuring that all operational expectations are met while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise and direct the functions and tasks of associates as instructed by Warehouse Management.
  2. Receive, unload, and organize merchandise efficiently.
  3. Maintain the Purchasing system; experience with Birchstreet is preferred.
  4. Verify the accuracy of received items, documenting any discrepancies or damages.
  5. Distribute items to designated locations and secure signatures for delivery confirmation.
  6. Ensure proper inventory storage to prevent spoilage and maintain stock rotation according to established schedules.
  7. Keep the work environment safe and report any hazardous conditions.
  8. Manage stock control by planning future needs, adjusting par levels, processing orders, and controlling excess inventory.
  9. Utilize the FIFO system to minimize waste effectively.
  10. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or light utility carts as needed; training will be provided.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.
