Director of Nursing Job Description

At The Meadows of Kalida, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead our Nursing Services Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating nursing services and ensuring the highest level of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Nursing Services Department in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines
  • Coordinate nursing services and other resident services to provide world-class care
  • Assist with discharge planning and resident admission processes
  • Monitor medication distribution and treatment schedules
  • Ensure weekend coverage and on-call duties are met
  • Implement and maintain onboarding and orientation for new nurses
Requirements:
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
  • Current state Registered Nurse license and valid CPR certification
  • Prior management experience in long-term healthcare as a Director of Nursing
  • Compassion and a positive, outgoing personality
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, team building, and leadership skills
