Job Title: Caregiver Specialist

About Us: At South Texas College, we prioritize providing exceptional care to individuals attending our Day Habilitation Program. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Caregiver Specialist.

Salary: $15.66 per hour,

Job Description: As a Caregiver Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining ethical and professional communications with clients and staff. You will perform direct care services, provide supervision and care to clients with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and adhere to our Business Code of Conduct. Your duties will include assisting in arts and crafts, music, education, recreation, vocational therapy, physical therapy, or occupational therapy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • One semester (12 credit hours) of accredited college work, or minimum eighth grade reading comprehension level
  • Some experience assisting in various therapeutic settings
  • A valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
