Job Summary:

Pratt Recycling, Inc. is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Roll-Off Operator to join our team. As a Roll-Off/Tractor Operator, you will be responsible for collecting and transporting waste and recyclable materials from various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre-and post-trip inspections of company vehicles, ensuring compliance with DOT and company regulations.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with Route Supervisors and Customer Service Groups regarding route status and customer inquiries.
  • Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Empty trucks at designated disposal sites and clean the vehicle as needed.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of recycling commodity classifications and grades of paper and plastics.
  • Meet physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Hold a valid Class A CDL with Air Brake endorsement and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including occasional Saturdays, and adhere to company policies and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Class A CDL with Air Brake endorsement
  • Minimum 1 year CDL driving experience (verifiable)
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Previous trash collection experience preferred
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas
