Job Summary

The Field Engineer will provide support services for construction activities, including site preparation, excavation, and backfill. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of civil construction operations and be able to interpret design drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide field engineering support services for subcontracted and direct hire work activities.
  • Interpret civil design drawings and specifications for execution of civil works.
  • Issue field change documents and nonconformance reports.
  • Inspect and test reports.
  • Issue field material requisitions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite tools.
  • Knowledge of cost management and estimating.
  • Extensive experience in civil construction on large projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in site preparation, excavation & backfill, soil mixing, piling, precast prestressed concrete, and/or marine.
  • Technical knowledge of drainage on infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with current industry quality standards.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H).
