Key Responsibilities- Provide Patient Education: Develop and implement individualized education plans to promote patient understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Conduct Therapy Sessions: Assist physical therapists in conducting therapy sessions, including exercises, modalities, and other interventions as prescribed.
- Document Patient Progress: Accurately and thoroughly document patient progress, including treatment plans, outcomes, and any changes to care.
- Identify Safety Concerns: Recognize and report any safety concerns or risks associated with patient care, and implement measures to mitigate these risks.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, including process improvements, quality metrics, and patient satisfaction surveys.
- Education: Associate's degree or college diploma in Physical Therapy Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of California, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience: Prior experience in an acute care setting is highly preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, stand, walk, sit, carry, push, and pull, as required for the position.
