Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity in Spartanburg, SC

Soliant is seeking a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with elementary and preschool age groups in a public school setting in Spartanburg, SC. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young students who need support in their language and communications development.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communications Disorders
  • South Carolina SLP license
  • Pending (or active) certification as an SLP in education settings, issued by the South Carolina Department of Education
Responsibilities:
  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs
  • Determine eligibility for speech services, and work with an interdisciplinary team to determine appropriate goals
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for children with identified speech and language disorders
  • Develop individualized education plans (for children with special education needs) and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns
  • Maintain accurate records for all children on the caseload
  • Provide reports of children's progress to parents
  • Organize caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school or classroom
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development
