About This Role
This Biomedical Technician I position offers an exciting opportunity to join our team of passionate medical equipment management experts who proudly serve hospitals and healthcare facilities to ensure quality medical equipment is in the right place at the right time for effective patient care.
The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
In this role, you will conduct cost-effective maintenance on company and customer-owned medical equipment, perform operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair service, and communicate with clinical staff on equipment-related topics.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of medical devices to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure medical equipment is functioning properly and meeting customers' needs.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to provide education on equipment features and functionality.
Requirements and Qualifications
- An associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology. Alternative qualifications include Equivalent military training or Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET).
- Basic computer skills; understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
- Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license. Must have a safe driving record based on Agiliti policies.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as needed to support a 24/7 schedule.
- Willingness to travel periodically to support business needs.
- The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 75 pounds.
- The ability to often bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
