Job Summary

City of Lakeville, MN is seeking a highly skilled Ice Skating Coach to lead our Learn to Skate program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing instruction in a variety of skate lesson levels and ages, ensuring a successful skating program that results in engaged skaters and program growth.

Key Responsibilities

Provide instruction in a variety of skate lesson levels and ages
Ensure a safe and healthy environment for all skaters
Establish open and active communication with skating director, coaches, skating participants, parents, and arenas staff
Ensure program instruction is taught in accordance to the Learn to Skate USA progression program

Requirements

Experience in and knowledge of figure skating and learn to skate programming
Ability to work independently and prioritize work
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work a variety of hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

Previous Learn to Skate instructor coaching experience
Knowledge of all levels and facets of the United States Figure Skating (USFS), Ice Skating Institute (ISI), and Learn to Skate USA curriculum
Membership in PSA, USFSA, LTS USA, and/or ISA
