About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Materials Handler I to join our Cargo Assembly team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling and processing materials, ensuring the timely completion of assembly projects, and contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize material handling equipment to efficiently process and store materials.
  • Identify and verify correct parts, components, and materials using various methods.
  • Follow proper material handling and packaging techniques to prevent damage and ensure quality.
  • Operate computer systems and printers to record inventory transactions, generate labels, and perform other tasks.
  • Conduct area cycle counts and record results to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Unpack, verify, and receive incoming materials, and package and prepare materials for shipping.
  • Distribute materials to internal plant locations and maintain appropriate levels of packaging supplies.
  • Recognize and resolve inventory discrepancies, and maintain accurate records of all work performed.
  • Train other employees and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. In the absence of a diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of computer operations to access and navigate essential systems and software.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools to perform assembly tasks with precision and efficiency.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos related to assembly tasks.
  • Capable of writing simple correspondence as needed for documentation and communication purposes.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, contributing positively to team dynamics and productivity.
