Occupational Therapist Job Description

Soar Autism Center is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Denver, Colorado.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide naturalistic occupational therapy to young children with autism. The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy and a strong background in working with children with autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement individualized occupational therapy plans for young children with autism
  • Develop and implement interventions to support gross motor skills, fine motor skills, feeding, and other activities of daily living
  • Conduct multidisciplinary assessments and create treatment plans in coordination with other clinical specialties
  • Coach and mentor a team of RBTs to effectively translate OT goals into their therapy
  • Monitor client progress, update treatment plans and goals, and communicate needed changes to team members and families
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • License to practice occupational therapy
  • 3+ years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably with children with autism
  • Ability to connect and engage with young children and their families
