Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Technician to join our team at Emory Midtown Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general patient satisfaction by ensuring timely and effective care, including providing blankets, food, and updates on treatment status.
  • Perform peripheral IV placement, specimen collection, general phlebotomy, and blood cultures, as well as placement of urinary catheters.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in acute and code situations, working closely with medical staff to provide optimal patient care.
  • Participate in disaster response and triage efforts, utilizing skills and training to support patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and promote a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited EMT-Advanced or EMT-Intermediate training program.
  • One year of related experience preferred.
  • Current certification as an EMT-I, EMT-A, or EMT-P, and CPR.
