Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled RN to join our Labor and Delivery Unit as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. This is a full-time, 0.9 FTE position with a night shift schedule (12 hour shifts).

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.
  • Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
  • Direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
  • Participate in the development of and maintains established hospital policies, procedures, and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection prevention program.
Requirements
  • Three years RN experience required: Labor & Deliver or postpartum (LDRP) acute care nursing experience within the last 10 years.
  • Labor & Delivery or postpartum acute care CNA experience, 30 CEUs in perinatal nursing within the last year, 200 hours perinatal clinical experience within the last two years, and/or a formal perinatal training program within the last two years may substitute for some of all of this requirement.
  • Successful completion of an approved training course/orientation and standard competencies within six months of hire.
