Portsmouth Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Surgical Unit team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Surgical Unit, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care. Your duties will include assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications, and educating patients and families about their care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
  • Provide education and support to patients and families
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. A current RN license in the state of New Hampshire or a valid compact state is required.
