Job Title: Adjunct Pool

Husson University's New England School of Communications is seeking part-time adjunct faculty members to teach Video Production courses. These courses introduce students to the world of video and digital filmmaking, covering the basic skills needed to create high-end, broadcast-quality video, including shooting, non-linear editing, gathering professional audio, continuity, composition, and workflow management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide students with proper instruction and content to achieve programmatic outcomes in various courses.
  • Assign and oversee multiple field and post-productions at an introductory level.
  • Accurately track and assess student progress and maintain Husson University standards.
  • Advising the Academic Director on proposed curricular changes.
  • Assisting the department in experiential assessments and exercises where appropriate.
  • Assist in the research and assessment of industry trends and future technologies concerning curriculum.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Gathering data and preparing detailed documents.
  • Representing the School off campus when appropriate.
  • Serving on committees, as appropriate.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the administration.
Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree Required; Ph.D., MFA, or other terminal degree preferred.
  • At least 1-3 years of work experience in a related field.
  • College-level teaching experience preferred.
Compensation:
  • Undergraduate Course: Masters Prepared $933.33 maximum per credit hour.
  • Undergraduate Course: Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour.
  • Graduate Course: Masters Level Prepared $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour.
  • Graduate Course: Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,100.00 maximum per credit hour.
  • Lab Sections Undergraduate: Masters Prepared $1,150.00 per credit hour.
  • Lab Sections Undergraduate: Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,250.00 per credit hour.
