Rutgers University is seeking a highly qualified Faculty General Psychiatrist to join our team. As an attending physician, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the academic mission of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide attending coverage for adult psychiatric services, consultation-liaison psychiatric services, and psychiatric emergency services as assigned.
- Participate in overnight on-call rotating faculty schedule and weekend coverage.
- Contribute to quality assurance, performance improvement, and peer review activities.
- Teach and evaluate medical students, psychiatry residents, fellows, and allied health professional fellows/students/trainees.
- Pursue scholarly activities within the Department of Psychiatry and collaborate with other departments.
- Complete billing, required training, time studies, and other required hospital-related or Rutgers-related surveys.
- MD, DO or equivalent in Psychiatry.
- Strong clinical and teaching skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
