About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Strategic Sourcing team as a Summer Intern. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in supporting the procurement and supply chain management functions within the transportation sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with internal customers and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Perform systematic corrective action on issues related to supplier purchase orders or contract non-compliance.
  • Support service and material buyers with ad hoc reporting and special project assistance.
  • Maintain contract management in the execution of accurate and timely agreements.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a similar field from an accredited university.
  • Have and maintain at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
  • Have LESS THAN three (3) years of professional work experience, EXCLUDING internships, part-time jobs, or positions held while pursuing my undergraduate and/or graduate degree.
  • Have access to reliable transportation for the duration of the internship to and from the assigned BNSF location.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior intern experience or less than 3 years of work experience in Finance or Supply Chain Management.
  • Have or have held a leadership position in a campus, community, or extracurricular organization.
