Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for office visits, including escorting them to treatment rooms and obtaining pertinent patient information for medical records.
  • Document patient information in their chart, including chief complaint, medical and surgical history, allergies, medications, and review of systems.
  • Process and file lab/diagnostic test results, correspondence, and clinical notes in patients' charts after review by the physician.
  • Assure accurate and complete documentation on patient records and notify providers and other departments of diagnostic testing results.
  • Coordinate patient flow in the office and collaborate with receptionists to ensure timely and efficient patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of related work experience is required.
  • Knowledge of medical assisting normally associated with obtaining an Associate's Degree in Medical Assistance is preferred.
  • National Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
