Job Summary

The State of Oklahoma is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant District Attorney to join our team. As a key member of our district attorney's office, you will be responsible for prosecuting all crimes, from traffic citations to violent felonies, in Carter County and other surrounding counties.

Key Responsibilities

• Prosecute all crimes, including traffic citations, drug crimes, violent crimes, misdemeanors, and felonies
• Filing, prosecuting, and representing the State in all facets of the criminal case
• Advising county officials as requested
• Working closely with other attorneys, staff, partner agencies, law enforcement, defense attorneys, and the bench

Requirements

• Prior prosecution experience is preferred but not required
• 1+ years of legal experience
• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and admission to the Oklahoma Bar Association
• Strong writing and research skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and work with law enforcement, elected officials, attorneys, and other agencies
• Ability to pass a fingerprint and background check and have no criminal history
