Position Summary:
The Aerial Imaging Specialist will coordinate and engage in both ground and aerial operations, including mission planning, Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) compliance, execution, and thorough briefings and debriefings. This role is crucial for data collection efforts, which include final data processing and imagery uploads. You will be tasked with conducting Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) missions, ensuring adherence to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Prior experience with drones is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize drones to inspect and gather high-resolution imagery that accurately depicts the condition of roofing structures and other pertinent subjects on the property.
- Exhibit proficiency in flying at various altitudes and camera angles to ensure optimal image quality.
- Plan project routes efficiently prior to deployment to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Comprehend Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR) and evolving weather conditions that may affect drone operations.
- Effectively communicate any flight-related issues to relevant departments and personnel.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of drone technology, including flight controls, programmable settings, and photographic/video capture techniques.
- Demonstrate familiarity with various drone applications commonly utilized in the industry (e.g., AirControl, UAV Forecast, AutoPylot).
- Foster an environment of professionalism, consistency, and precision.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control on all tasks performed.
- Maintain a professional rapport with clients and company staff.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- FAA Part 107 certification
- Military experience (15W or 15C MOS are encouraged to apply)
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience as a drone operator
- Minimum of 20 hours of flight time with documented logs
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Strong physical fitness and stamina
- Meticulous attention to detail
Equipment:
- DJI Mavic or Air series, compliant with Remote ID regulations
- Drone Insurance
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for job sites
- Reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be in suitable physical and mental condition to operate a drone safely.
- Ability to sit or stand while performing job duties; exposure to outdoor weather conditions is regular.
