About the Role
As a Public Health Nurse with Merced County, CA, you will be responsible for providing essential healthcare services to the community. With a focus on preventative care and disease management, you will work closely with patients and families to promote optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide case management services for various programs, including California Children Services, Child Health and Disability Prevention Program, and Medi-Cal Targeted Case Management.
• Investigate and interview parents, assess and screen at-risk individuals, and act as patient advocate.
• Instruct parents on child safety, growth, development, signs of abuse, poor nutrition, and failure to thrive.
• May provide crisis assistance and participate in patient meetings for special needs children.
• Work directly in Immunization, STD, TB, and HIV Testing clinics, administering tuberculosis medications and performing skin tests for diagnosis.

Requirements:
• Possession of a valid California Registered Nurse License.
• Valid California Public Health Nurse Certificate issued by the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.
• One year's full-time nursing experience in Public or Community Health (for PHN II).

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is $74,110.40 - $99,361.60 per annum. As a Merced County employee, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
