Detention Officer

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Detention Officer to join our team at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service Processing Center in El Paso, Texas.
Key Responsibilities- Perform duties in accordance with PBNDS/ACA and ICE facility policy standards.
- Respond to emergency situations, such as fires, facility disturbances, and riots.
- Prevent and detect contraband, escape attempts, and disorder or non-compliance.
- Observe, prevent, and report all instances of disorder or non-compliance as directed by ICE and GPS policies and procedures.
- 21 years of age or older.
- U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Not currently employed by a federal agency or active-duty military.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a state security license (Noncommission/Commission).
- 4 years of detention/security experience or military experience (prison, detention center, etc.).
- Pass Government Clearance (T1/T2).
- Pass drug screening.
- Obtain ACA correctional officer certification within 1 year of employment.
- Meet the minimum physical requirement qualifications for the position.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- 4 years of experience in a detention center or prison setting.
- Ability to speak, write, and comprehend a second language (Spanish or any language).
The job is performed in a multitude of settings, including exposure to extreme climate temperatures and conditions, sun and climate conditions, and confined to office space for more than 8 hours.
