About the Department:
The University of Iowa Stead Family Department of Pediatrics is a world-renowned institution that is committed to advancing the health and well-being of children and families. Our department is comprised of a diverse team of clinicians, researchers, and educators who are dedicated to providing exceptional care and advancing the field of pediatrics.
Requirements:
- Must hold an MD/DO degree or equivalent.
- Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics or equivalent.
- Board certified or eligible in Pediatric Cardiology or equivalent.
- License or eligible for licensure in the State of Iowa.
- Completion of a heart failure/transplant fellowship or sufficient experience in cardiac transplantation to meet requirements for UNOS Certification for Pediatric Heart Transplant at the time of employment.
- Demonstrated experience promoting an inclusive culture in the workforce and academic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of experience in pediatric cardiology heart failure, cardiomyopathy, and transplant management.
- Experience in patient-oriented research.
- Teaching competence in pediatrics for medical students and residents.
- Evidence of scholarly activity.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
