Job Title: Study Strategies

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor to teach study strategies courses as part of our Dual Enrollment Program with local high school districts.

Job Summary:

This is a temporary, hourly as-needed position without permanent status. The successful candidate will teach in-person college-level study strategy courses, focusing on academic success, learner self-knowledge, and self-regulation.

Responsibilities:
  1. Teach study strategies courses to high school students as part of the Dual Enrollment Program.
  2. Develop and implement lesson plans that promote academic success, learner self-knowledge, and self-regulation.
  3. Assess student progress and provide feedback to students.
  4. Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure consistency in course content and delivery.
Requirements:
  1. A master's degree in education, educational psychology, or a related field.
  2. Experience in teaching study strategies or related courses.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience working with high school students.
  2. Knowledge of adult learning theory and its application in educational settings.
  3. Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to be present on campus to perform all essential duties and responsibilities.
