Position Summary

The selected individual will be a vital contributor to a multi-contractor team, delivering programmatic, engineering, and technical assistance to military initiatives. Responsibilities will encompass managing documentation such as drawings, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Release Records (ERRs), Notices of Revisions (NORs), and conducting Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) related to the design, production, testing, and deployment of weapon systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review program-specific specifications, ensuring compliance with standards and requirements, while coordinating with relevant government entities for customer responses.
  • Support configuration control processes, including the management of Requests for Deviation/Waiver (RFD/RFW), evaluating change proposals for thoroughness and compliance with government mandates.
  • Assist in organizing and conducting Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and business management meetings, maintaining comprehensive change proposal records.
  • Evaluate adherence to government technical data requirements.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to generate ECPs, NORs, and ERRs.
  • Conduct internal Functional and Physical Configuration Audits (FCAs/PCAs) on incoming and assembled items.
  • Examine drawings, specifications, Parts Lists, and assembly information for accuracy on Fabrication, Vendor Item, and Source Control Drawings.
  • Oversee Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRL) submissions for Department of Defense contracts.
  • Establish and document standardized processes for Configuration Management activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in configuration management within a Department of Defense context.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficient in utilizing Configuration Management tools for effective oversight.
  • Expertise in producing configuration management documentation.
  • In-depth understanding of ASME Y14.5 drawing standards.
  • Familiarity with software tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and deliver presentations as required.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and collaboratively.

Security Clearance Requirement

Candidates must possess and maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
