Behavioral Health Specialist

SCL Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Provider to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans to address patient needs.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to promote mental health and well-being.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Participate in staff training and education to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Counseling or Social Work required.
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
- Two (2) years clinical experience in related field required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
Work Environment:
- Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/mbulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
