SMUD is seeking an experienced Associate (Journey) Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Journey Mechanical Designer.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for new construction, modification, and maintenance of SMUD power generating units and infrastructure assets.

• Prepare and implement Design Change Notice DCN packages to ensure reliable and efficient generation operations.

• Conduct field investigations to collect data for assigned projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in mechanical engineering.

• Three to five years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems for thermal, hydro, wind, and photovoltaic power generating resources and pipelines.
