Job Title: Superintendent / Site Supervisor - HVAC / Mechanical / Electrical / Mep

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team at Johnson Controls Federal Systems. As a key member of our federal team, you will be responsible for overseeing the field construction and maintenance process of assigned projects, primarily related to maintenance and service of large mechanical HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the field construction and maintenance process of assigned projects, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and with quality workmanship.
  • Supervise, inspect, review, record, and report on all site construction-related activity, ensuring subcontractors perform their work on schedule.
  • Develop means and methods for construction/installation or service requirements of projects, in conjunction with Project Managers.
  • Coordinate activities of all employees and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Assist with quality control functions, ensuring project document controls comply with contract requirements.
  • Enforce, facilitate, and follow Company and contract safety requirements, assisting with SSHO functions as needed.
  • Schedule and plan work tasks, monitor progress, and update schedules as necessary.
  • Coordinate inspections, verifications, tests, and other contractual requirements with clients.
  • Participate in regular project/site meetings with subcontractors, architects, engineers, client representatives, and other groups.
  • Direct and coordinate subcontractor activities, ensuring timely completion and quality workmanship.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of project coordination, project development, and supervision of construction or service projects in the commercial or industrial building construction industry.
  • Knowledge of commercial or industrial HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Experience overseeing technical trades-related teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for employee supervision and client interface.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic Windows environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances at the level required for assigned projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Federal Government or Department of Defense projects.
