The Shell Polymers Monaca facility is a world-scale petrochemical plant in Western Pennsylvania that upgrades locally produced ethane from Marcellus and Utica shale formations gas production to make polyethylene.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and maintain rotating process equipment, including disassembling and assembling equipment, troubleshooting, and overall maintenance.
- Perform calculations and measurements using instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
- Examine and test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
- Operate motorized lifting equipment, such as forklifts and man-lifts.
- Work in compact and confined spaces, and climb ladders and walk up and down steps.
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to work outside in inclement weather and in compact and confined spaces.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and use safe lifting techniques.
- Willingness to be on call and meet call-out standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergencies.
