We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Brown University Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures using MRI equipment, ensuring high-quality images, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Collect patient information through interviews and reviews of medical records to ensure accurate assessments.
- Document patient assessments in a clear and concise manner, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Evaluate patient needs to prevent potential complications and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
- Explain procedures to patients, address their concerns, and establish effective communication.
- Inject patients using aseptic technique and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Operate MRI equipment, following established protocols and procedures, to produce high-quality images.
- Prepare procedure rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment is available, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Assist in clinical training of radiology and nursing students and notify supervisors of supply shortages or equipment malfunctions.
- Contribute to the team approach, providing exceptional patient care and service, and maintain IV competency.
- Current BLS certification
- Current ARRT registered certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging with RT(MR) designation
- Documented training and experience in MRI preferred
- Current ARRT registered certification in Radiography with RT(R) designation preferred
