Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Nurse Hustle is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Urbana, Illinois.

Job Summary:

The Registered Radiologic Technologist will provide high-quality patient care and assist physicians in procedures, ensuring a valuable service to patients and the team.

Essential Functions:
  • Administer contrast material as per physician's request, recognizing and responding to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
  • Assist with inventory and supplies, checking patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.
  • Compile clinical information, assist in instruction of new staff, and document accurately and completely.
  • Explain procedures to patients, provide comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality, and inform procedural nurses of correct doses of intra-procedural medications, radiation, and sponge/sharp counts.
  • Perform on-call duties and/or work variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs.
Department-Specific Duties:
  • Administer and withhold contrast and treatment as appropriate.
  • Assess patients for allergies, perform peripheral vascular work, and insert venous central lines.
  • Change tubes, perform embolization work, and take late shift duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
  • BLS (American Heart Assoc.) and ACLS (American Heart Assoc.) certifications.
  • IEMA Radiography License Illinois and Radiography (R)(ARRT) certification.

Nurse Hustle Job ID. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
