Position Summary:

The Pediatric Gastroenterology Department at Duke Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. This role focuses on delivering outstanding care to our pediatric patients, ensuring a positive experience for them and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide triage support for pediatric patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Establish strong communication with patients and families, coordinating services and providing education.
  • Manage indirect patient support and direct clinic interactions.
  • Document communications and manage follow-ups effectively.
  • Assist with medication refills, referrals, and necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate diagnostic testing and outpatient appointments.
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, therapies, and equipment.
  • Oversee the activities of unlicensed care providers.
