Position Summary:
The Pediatric Gastroenterology Department at Duke Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. This role focuses on delivering outstanding care to our pediatric patients, ensuring a positive experience for them and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide triage support for pediatric patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Establish strong communication with patients and families, coordinating services and providing education.
- Manage indirect patient support and direct clinic interactions.
- Document communications and manage follow-ups effectively.
- Assist with medication refills, referrals, and necessary documentation.
- Coordinate diagnostic testing and outpatient appointments.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, therapies, and equipment.
- Oversee the activities of unlicensed care providers.

Qualifications:

Licensure and Certification:

- BLS certification required.

- Two years of nursing experience, including one year in pediatrics.
