Civil Engineer Job Description

CME Associates is a leading engineering and consulting firm dedicated to providing innovative and sustainable solutions to our clients. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Medford, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Perform engineering analysis, design calculations, and preparation of construction documents for various civil engineering projects, including site development, transportation, and infrastructure.
  • Navigate local, state, and federal regulations and permitting processes to secure approvals and ensure compliance with environmental, zoning, and safety requirements.
  • Establish and maintain positive client relationships through effective communication, project updates, and addressing client concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, surveyors, and other engineers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project objectives and exceed client expectations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Must hold a valid Professional Engineer license in the state of New Jersey or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in site development, land planning, or transportation projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software. Experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical information to clients and team members effectively.
