Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a Cyber Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a program with a direct connection with our customer's mission, analyzing user requirements and developing system requirements specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, incorporating new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
  • System Development: Develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation, guiding system development and implementation planning.
  • Requirements Analysis: Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • System Integration: Guide system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces.
  • Technical Integrity: Manage and ensure the technical integrity of the system baseline over time, continually updating it as various changes are imposed on the system during the lifecycle.
  • Operational Concept: Develop scenarios (threads) and an Operational Concept that describes the interactions between the system, the user, and the environment.
Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA, minimum of 10 years with MS/MA, minimum of 7 years with PhD. Five years of relevant SE experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • System Performance: Experience in developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large scale systems.
  • Agile Development: Experience leading agile development models.
  • COTS and GOTS: Experience integrating COTS and GOTS products from multiple vendors.
  • Cloud Environments: Experience developing and deploying storage within clustered or cloud environments.
  • Secure Compliant Solutions: Experience planning and integrating secure compliant solutions based on legal, policy, and compliance directives.
  • HDFS and HADOOP: Knowledge and experience with internals of HDFS, HADOOP, and/or HBase/Accumulo BIG TABLE.
