Responsibilities

As a Market Medical Director, you will:

  • Assume an administrative and clinical leadership role for the Clinical Operations Department and primary care provider team across multiple centers within a Cano region.
  • Provide clinical oversight of Clinical Lead physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and RN Supervisor and Allied Clinical Staff.
  • Review medical records as required by regulatory mandates for the clinic and mid-levels supervised.
  • Participate in administrative decision-making and recommend policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate monthly administrative and clinical leadership staff meetings to assist in quality care initiatives, office policies, and accreditation activities.
  • Develop and implement medical protocol standardization to ensure providers practice to accepted standards of care.
  • Collaborate with Dental, Behavioral Health, Wellness, and Social Service staff to optimize the integration of programs and improve population health outcomes.
  • Provide medical consultations with other medical providers and effectively utilize electronic health records to document clinical activity and manage population health.
  • Serve in a leadership, advocacy, and mentorship role for the medical staff.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A medical degree with National Board Certification in family medicine, internal medicine, emergency care, or occupational health.
  • Over 7 years of medical management experience.
  • Current National Board Certification.
