CT Technologist, Night Shift

Main Function:

As a CT Technologist at Griffin Hospital, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT and x-ray exams on patients, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. You will also coordinate patient flow and activities, maintaining a safe and efficient environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for quality control and quality assurance activities, practicing and implementing radiation dose reduction techniques to minimize patient exposure.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT and x-ray exams on patients, adhering to established protocols and guidelines
  • Coordinate patient flow and activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing wait times
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities, monitoring and improving imaging quality and patient safety
  • Administer venipuncture and IV/oral contrast to patients, as needed
  • Perform patient assessments, identifying potential health risks and developing strategies for improvement
  • Implement image wisely/image gently radiation dose reduction practices, minimizing patient exposure and promoting safe imaging practices
Requirements:
  • State of Connecticut license
  • ARRT (CT, R) certification
  • CPR certification
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience in CT and/or x-ray, with venipuncture and IV placement skills
  • Phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred
