Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to join our team at Carle Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and administrative support to our medical staff.

Responsibilities
  • Collect patient information, including chief complaint, family history, social history, and medication reconciliation.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as patient check-in/check-out, prior authorizations, scheduling appointments, and verification of benefits.
  • Assist with prescription medication refills, call medications into pharmacies, and document actions within the EMR.
  • Provide patient education and instructions regarding procedures, medications, or follow-up care.
  • Administer medications per provider order and maintain department-specific competencies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from a recognized organization
  • Successful completion of a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant program or Carle/Parkland Certified Medical Assistant Academy
