Job OverviewAs a seasoned nurse leader, you will oversee all aspects of nursing responsibilities during each shift, including assigning patient assignments, medication orders, and training new hires. Your focus will be on providing efficient, timely, and knowledgeable care while ensuring patient satisfaction in every interaction. The Head Nurse is responsible for reflecting the organization's values in their staff at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage nursing responsibilities during each shift, including assigning patient assignments and medication orders.
  • Train new hires and ensure a safe environment for staff and patients.
  • Provide efficient, timely, and knowledgeable care while ensuring patient satisfaction.
  • Reflect the organization's values in staff interactions.
Requirements:
  • Current NYS RN license required.
  • 2 years minimum experience as an RN in an Oncology setting.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred (current enrollment in BSN program required).
  • Full-time position.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • High level of familiarity with NYCBS policies and procedures.
  • Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in ONCOemr.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Attendance to all mandatory nursing meetings.
