Residential Youth Caregiver

We are seeking a committed House Parent who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young individuals.
This role requires on-site presence in Belleview, FL, with responsibilities extending to overnight and weekend shifts.
Overnight shift hours: 4 pm - 9 am
Compensation is set at $16 per hour, non-negotiable.
Role Purpose and Impact:
This position involves direct service delivery, focusing on the supervision of teenage females who are pregnant, parenting, or at risk of exploitation. The House Parent is responsible for ensuring a nurturing and secure environment through constructive interactions and guidance for the youth involved in the program. This full-time role necessitates overnight availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a supportive atmosphere for youth.
- Maintain daily security and upkeep of the facility.
- Assist and guide teens and their children with essential life skills such as personal hygiene, household chores, and interpersonal relationships.
- Observe and engage with mothers and children during play and activities.
- Complete shift reports and manage administrative tasks, including attendance tracking and internal documentation.
- Handle household duties such as medication administration, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and cleaning.
- Organize and take part in recreational activities and outings.
- Support children with academic tasks when tutors are unavailable.
- Engage in various training sessions for professional development.
- Attend staff meetings as required.
- Assign and oversee household chores.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a willingness to work closely with teenage mothers and young children, as well as female residents in foster care.
- Exhibit a commitment to working with at-risk female teens.
- Be prepared to work overnight, during holidays, and on weekends to ensure adequate supervision and staffing ratios.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work extended hours with flexible scheduling.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
Educational Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of one year of experience working with youth in structured environments is preferred. Training in trauma-informed care, de-escalation techniques, and child welfare programs is advantageous.
