Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine to join our team at the University of Miami Health System. As a key member of our Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Division, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, education, and research in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide high-quality medical care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit, including monitoring and maintaining pulmonary support, formulating treatment plans, and ordering laboratory tests.
  • Education and Research: Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows, and contribute to research initiatives that advance the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the Division, Department of Medicine, and University of Miami Health System to drive academic and operational missions, and provide leadership and guidance to junior faculty and staff.
  • Quality Improvement: Actively participate in quality assurance programs and peer review activities to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Certifications: Board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
  • Experience: 0-1 year of experience in pulmonary and critical care medicine, with a strong background in clinical research and education.
