As a Cloud Migration Specialist focusing on Azure, you will be instrumental in guiding our clients through the transition of their on-premises infrastructure to the Microsoft Azure platform. Your responsibilities will include crafting cloud solutions, managing migration processes, and providing ongoing support post-migration to ensure a seamless integration and optimal functionality of cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to thoroughly understand their existing systems and specific business needs for migration to Azure.
  • Architect Azure cloud solutions customized to fulfill client requirements, ensuring they are scalable, dependable, and secure.
  • Oversee the migration of on-premises infrastructure to Microsoft Azure.
  • Perform pre-migration evaluations and readiness assessments to pinpoint potential challenges and refine migration strategies.
  • Deliver post-migration assistance, including troubleshooting and performance optimization to guarantee effective utilization of Azure services.
  • Create comprehensive migration documentation, such as diagrams, runbooks, and operational guidelines for client use and internal knowledge sharing.
  • Remain informed about advancements in the Azure platform and industry best practices to enhance migration techniques and service delivery.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Cloud Engineer role or equivalent, with a concentration on Microsoft Azure.
  • Practical experience with Azure services including Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Solid grasp of networking principles (VPN, ExpressRoute, DNS, etc.) and security protocols within Azure.
  • Experience executing migrations from on-premises setups (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) to Azure.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to resolve intricate issues related to cloud migrations and operations.
  • Proficient communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of Azure certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-300, AZ-301, etc.
  • Understanding of DevOps methodologies and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, Git, etc.).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.) for automation tasks within Azure.
  • Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and solutions that integrate on-premises and Azure environments.
