We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse RN Cardiac Rehab to join our team. As a member of our cardiac rehabilitation department, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective care to a diverse group of inpatient and outpatient cardiac patients.

Job Summary

Shifts for this unit are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Our Clinical Cardiac Care Specialists provide comprehensive nursing assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

You will be responsible for providing direct nursing care and supervising non-licensed nursing staff within your scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.

What You'll Do

  1. Perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of patients, following standards of care and disease-specific protocols.
  2. Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
  3. Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within your scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.
  4. Develop and implement education and emotional support programs appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
  • Dysrhythmia recognition, pathophysiology of cardiovascular disease, cardiovascular/pulmonary assessment, basic knowledge of exercise physiology, and clinical exercise physiology preferred.
  • Cardiopulmonary assessment; computer skills; educational planning and teaching skills; RN should have a holistic view of patient education; experience and skills with older adults is important.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
  • Prefer ACSM certification at the Exercise Specialist level, Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, or ANA Cardiac Rehabilitation certification.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in ICU, CCU, or other critical care nursing is required; a minimum of one year of experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation is preferred.

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
