Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and organized part-time Dishwasher to join our team at Wilcox + Flegel's Indy Way Diner. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills, be able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the availability of clean dishes by bussing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, and resetting dining areas.
  • Prepare dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations.
  • Clean machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc.
  • Unload and store deliveries.
  • Sweep and mop floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.
  • Take out the trash and rinse garbage cans.
  • Support other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
  • Report kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong ability to multi-task.
  • Able to assess competing demands and determine appropriate direction.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environment; agile, flexible and resilient.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.
