Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Intern at Walgreens, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting pharmacists and pharmacy team members in providing exceptional patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and providing patient counseling.
  • Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Learn and champion pharmacy policy, procedures, and customer service best practices.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills so you can fill prescriptions accurately.
